As a Senior Staff Photographer for Golf Digest Magazine for the past 22
years, Dom Furore has photographed all aspects of the game. While individualistic
in his style, Dom has been influenced by two men in particular, who even
today remain his photographic heroes: O. Winston Link and Ansel Adams.
Dom’s life-long admirations for O. Winston Link’s night locomotive
photography lead him to adapt Link’s extraordinary techniques to
photographing renowned golf landscapes. Dom’s adaptation of Link’s
vision was revealed in his series of photographs featured in Golf Digest
called “Night Visions”, for which he was awarded Life Magazine’s
prestigious Alfred Eisentstadt Award for his picture of Cypress Point.
His current work includes an ongoing series of large format, black and
white photographs of mountain courses around the world, inspired
by Ansel Adams.
